Smooshers Blog Roll- Rainbows

The theme for this week's Blog Roll is Rainbows.  A rainbow appears when the sun shines through raindrops, creating a multicolored arc.  Rainbows are fleeting and hard to catch (and that pot of gold at the end is so very elusive!).  There's always been a magical feel to rainbows, and many artists, including the Polymer Clay Smooshers, feature some version of rainbows in their work.
Blue Morning Expressions made rainbows that you can wear!

This Painter's Palette brooch from Cynthia Blanton includes the colors of the rainbow as well.Painters Palette Shawl Scarf Pin Brooch
And here's a set of yarn ball stitch markers in a rainbow of bright colors from Fyrestorm Creations.Stitch Markers YARN BALLS for Knit or Crochet set of 6

This pretty polymer clay pendant from GEMSPCCreations contains all the colors of the rainbow.Polymer Clay Mod Cane Pendant
You can even find a rainbow pen from Harrison Hollow Designs.

And these are just a few of the rainbows I was able to find while browsing the shops of the Smooshers members!  To learn more about any of these items just click on the picture.  And to see more rainbows from the Smooshers be sure to visit http://wyverndesigns.blogspot.com/2012/04/colors-of-rainbow.html.

Tammie says she'd always rather make it than buy it.
She focuses mostly on jewelry and polymer clay items, but is interested in all sorts of crafty things.  She finds great satisfaction in making something that someone says "Wow I really like that" or even better " Can I buy that?"  Her interests include jewelry, handmade beads, polymer clay, wire, copper, beautiful paper, gold & silver leaf, painting, wreath making, upcycling, and repurposing.  She's skilled at stringing, wire work, handmade beads, mokume gane,  and caning.  Below is just a sample of some of the beautiful items that can be found in her ArtFire shop.

Smooshers Blog Roll- Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's Way!

The theme for this week's blog roll is Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's Way.  It's hard to believe that next Sunday is Easter already.  When I think of Easter I think of bunnies (chocolate and the fuzzy kind), pretty Spring flowers, coloring Easter eggs, and searching for hidden Easter baskets.  Easter is also a time for gathering the family and having a big Easter dinner, after which all the kids run around outside searching for hidden Easter eggs.  You can find plenty of Easter inspired items from the Smooshers as well!
I just love this egg sculpture from ArtMakersWorlds!  This would make an adorable Easter decoration.
