One of my favorite tools is the simple needle tool, because it is so versatile. I have two that I'm constantly using, one of which was made for me by fellow Smoosher, ColtPixy.
I can use them to poke holes in beads or pendants, but mostly I use them for detail work on sculpted pieces. Needle tools work great for making patterns in clay...
... creating detail lines for feathers...
... or adding veins to leaves...
And those are just a few of the possible uses for needle tools!
