BewitchingDreams' many interests

Clay has become my favorite medium, but it is not by far the only medium I dabble in!
Many of the items in my shop include styles of beadwork. I enjoy finding unique stones, gems and charms and then pondering the best way to mesh them together into a unique, one of a kind piece for someone.

This piece was inspired while I was on vacation at the beach...the coastal colors around me inspired this extremely fun and whimsical necklace and earrings.

I also dabble in chainmaille, though I have nothing for sale at the moment, I really enjoy playing with rings and seeing what designs come out.

I love to paint, whether it is on canvas or on my clay creations. Nearly all of my clay has been coated with some form of paint as I trying to bring a depth to the clay. I also paint glass ornaments during the holiday season. This set was for all my coworkers this past holiday, celebrating our employers colors.

When I'm not claying, beading or playing around my craft table, I love to cook. Baking is a favorite past time of mine, as can be seen in this unconventional slow cooker chocolate lava cake.

Finally, photography is probably one of my very favorite mediums. It gives me an excuse to get into nature and escape from the daily grind. This photo I snapped in the gardens beside my work building...I love to sneak out on my lunch break and grab photos of the wildlife and insects there during the spring and summer blooms.

Thank you! Yes, this recipe is amazing to throw together. Many times, I will make dinner in crockpot, then throw this in after dishing up dinner and it's ready by the time we want something sweet.

Here's the recipe:

Hot Fudge Spoon Cake Recipe
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 & 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed and divided
1/4 cup plus 3 Tablespoons baking cocoa, divided
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 & 3/4 cup hot water
Garnish: vanilla ice cream

Combine flour, one cup brown sugar, 3 Tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk in milk, melted utter and vanilla. Spread evenly in a slow cooker.

Mix together remaining brown sugar and cocoa; sprinkle evenly over the batter.

Pour in hot water; do not stir. Cover and cook on high setting for 2 hours, until a toothpick inserted one inch deep comes out clean. Spoon warm cake into bowls; top with vanilla ice cream. Makes 6 servings.
